Oil spills can cause considerable damage to the environment, wildlife, and human health. Traditional methods for monitoring and responding to oil spills can be time-consuming, expensive, and often inaccurate.
Traditional methods for monitoring and responding to oil spills can be challenging. Visual inspections by boat or aircraft can be time-consuming and expensive and can only provide limited coverage of the affected area. Sampling methods that involve human divers or remotely operated vehicles can be dangerous, expensive, and time-consuming.
Nero water samplers are equipped with a sampling hose that can sample up to three metres below the water's surface. The drone can be programmed to fly over the affected area, collecting water samples at up to four locations in a single flight. The samples can then be analysed by a lab for more detailed analysis.
