The Elios 3 lets you carry the UT Payload along with the LiDAR, so you can nail down precise measurements directly on a digital twin of your asset while gathering all your data in one go.
The UT Payload has a remote-controlled couplant dispenser that applies just the right amount of gel for perfect ultrasound readings. You can easily monitor the gel level in Cockpit and head back for a quick refill or swap out the syringe when needed.
The UT Payload’s probe comes with a built-in laser pointer to help you zero in on the exact spot you need to measure—even during flight.
The probe arm folds snugly against the drone, letting you easily manoeuvre through tight spaces, like narrow manholes, without interrupting flight performance.
Mount the UT Payload wherever it works best for the job—on top, in front, or underneath the Elios 3. The adjustable probe arm makes it a breeze to take thickness measurements in even the most hard-to-reach spots.
The Elios 3 UT Payload features a set of probe hoods to match the shape of various surfaces as well as interchangeable twin crystal piezo-composite probes with the choice of 2MHz, 5MHz, or 7.5 MHz. The probes are particularly suited to measuring heavily corroded metals and feature an Echo-Echo mode to measure through up to 1 mm (0.040 inch) of surface coating.
Probe specifications summary
Need to prep surfaces for measurements? Just switch out the probe head for the cleaning module to clear away deposits. Thanks to location tagging, you can easily find your cleaned spot again and take precise readings once the probe head is back in action.
The Live A-Scan widget in Cockpit puts you in charge of your measurements, whether you’re running them manually or on autopilot. With adjustable gain and gates, you can tweak readings on the fly—even when conditions are less than ideal.
Review your data points in post-processing using the Elios 3’s companion software, Inspector 5.
All data points from your flights are displayed and located in a digital twin of your asset, easing navigation between points of interest.
During the analysis, the A-Scan is retraced in teh software, allowing you to verify the measurement or refine it by re-selecting the most appropriate echo signals.
Data points can be documented by assigning them a criticality level and adding a description.
