DJI Matrice 300 firmware notice: Smart Controller & RC Plus Compatibility

After releasing the new DJI Matrice 350 RTK, DJI has released new firmware for the Matrice 300 RTK drone to add support for the RC Plus. At the same time, the update breaks compatibility with the DJI Smart Controller.

Firmware version 57.00.01.00 for the M300 RTK adds RC Plus compatibility, but at the same time it removes Smart Controller support. Luckily, the M300 can be downgraded to version 07.00.01.00 to bring back support.

• v57.00.01.00 = M300 RTK + RC Plus
• v07.00.01.00 = M300 RTK + Smart Controller

M300 RTK + RC Plus

To use the M300 RTK with a DJI RC Plus, an update to v57.00.01.00 is needed. This update can only be done via the DJI Assistant 2 software available on Windows and Mac.

Also note, using Matrice 300 RTK with the RC Plus also removes compatibility with Zenmuse Z30, Zenmuse XT2, and Zenmuse XTS payloads.

M300 RTK + Smart Controller

To continue using the Matrice 300 RTK with the Smart Controller DO NOT update to v57.00.01.00. If an update to v57.00.01.00 has taken place a downgrade to v07.00.01.00 is needed.

This can only be done via the DJI Assistant 2 software available on Windows and Mac.
