Sphere's Remote Operations Centre is Sydney-based and runs 24/7. Our licensed remote pilots fly your HubX® and HubT® missions beyond visual line of sight, under our own CASA approvals. You get the data without building a drone team.
Flying BVLOS in-house takes a ReOC, BVLOS approvals, trained remote pilots and a compliance record that holds up to audits. Most organisations don't have that in place, and building it takes time.
Our Remote Operations Centre gives you all of it from the first flight, as part of your Hub deployment.

Our pilots fly the captures, and your team gets consistent, comparable data for every part of your site.
Regular surveys and models of your site, captured on schedule without a survey crew on the ground.
Repeatable stockpile captures, so volumes are measured the same way from one flight to the next.
Close-up imagery of plant and infrastructure, so problems are picked up before they turn into failures.
Routine flights along pipelines and dewatering lines, with possible leaks flagged in CuroInsights.
Repeat captures from the same flight path, showing how works and conditions on site change over time.
Ad hoc flights to check your site after a storm or an incident, booked and flown when you need them.
Once your Hub is on site and set up, this is how it runs day to day.

Book a capture when you need one with the booking tool in CuroInsights, or set a regular schedule and we'll fly it without you asking.

Our Remote Operations Centre team receives the booking, confirms what you need and schedules the mission.

The mission is handed to our remote pilots, who fly it from the Remote Operations Centre in Sydney.

Results land back in CuroInsights, alongside your booking, ready for your team to review and act on.
Every mission from our Remote Operations Centre runs under Sphere's CASA remotely piloted aircraft operator's certificate (ReOC) and Broad Area BVLOS Approval. That lets us fly beyond visual line of sight across an approved area, rather than seeking CASA sign-off flight by flight.

Every site has its own documented operating procedures, airspace review and emergency response.
Every flight syncs back to CuroRPA, linked to the pilot, aircraft, operation and mission parameters, so the compliance record is there when your auditors ask.

Your site feeds and data are handled in a controlled environment set up for flight operations.
The centre is a locked room. Only authorised staff can get in, and the space is monitored by CCTV.
Flight operations run on their own network, kept isolated from general office traffic at all times.
Captured data is stored locally, so your data stays in Australia rather than offshore.
A UPS covers any mains power drop, and a backup internet connection takes over if the primary fails.

A Telstra outage left millions of Australians without mobile service. Our Remote Operations Centre kept flying client missions through it without interruption.
“Despite the nationwide telecom outage, Sphere remained operational and continued providing critical drone support without compromising safety. These complex operations require preparation for the unexpected. Through layered redundancies and resilient system design, Sphere were tested and proven today.”
Teams across Australian mining and critical infrastructure already rely on our Remote Operations Centre for their site data.
Every mission we fly for you runs on Curo, the software we build ourselves. Our pilots fly each mission in CuroROC, and every flight is logged in CuroRPA, so the whole job sits in one system.
We design and build the Hubs and Curo in-house, so one team owns your operation from the aircraft through to the data. There's no chasing separate vendors when something needs attention, and the same platform is there if you'd rather run your own operations.

No. Missions are flown remotely from our Remote Operations Centre, and the Hub handles launch, landing and charging on site.
No. Our Remote Operations Centre flies missions from HubX and HubT, as well as DJI Docks on your site.
Yes. Our remote pilots hold the licences CASA requires and fly under our ReOC and Broad Area BVLOS Approval.
We hold the approvals and every flight runs under them, logged in CuroRPA. You look after site access and inductions, and we handle the aviation side.
Both. Set a regular schedule, or book a single capture in CuroInsights whenever you need one.
Results land in CuroInsights alongside your booking, ready for your team to review and download.
In Australia. Captured data is stored locally rather than offshore.
Our pilots only fly within the aircraft's weather limits. If conditions are outside them, the mission is held and rescheduled.
The centre has a UPS for mains power drops and a backup internet connection that takes over if the primary fails, so missions can carry on.
