Welder / Fabricator

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, and maintain the structural and mechanical components of our HubX systems, working to the high-performance standards required for advanced drone technology.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes real pride in the quality of their work and thrives in a fast-paced, precision-focused production environment. You will collaborate closely with engineering and design teams, playing a key part in bringing cutting-edge technology to life on the workshop floor.

You are an experienced tradesperson with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to producing work that meets exacting specifications. You are comfortable working from technical drawings, can operate welding equipment to a high standard, and bring a calm, methodical approach to every job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weld, fabricate, and assemble high-quality metal components for the HubX platform
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to assemble structures accurately
  • Operate welding equipment and machines (MIG, TIG) safely and efficiently
  • Perform fitting tasks including aligning, cutting, and joining components
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished components meet design specifications and quality standards
  • Ensure all safety and operational guidelines are followed in the workshop at all times
  • Work closely with the production team to meet delivery deadlines and achieve production goals
  • Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment and related tools
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to suggest improvements for production processes

What We're Looking For

Required

  • At least three years of experience as a Welder and Fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
  • Proficiency in Steel and Aluminium MIG welding and Stainless Steel and Aluminium TIG welding
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Understanding of structural assembly, mechanical fitting, and fabrication techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly across departments
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a production environment
  • Forklift and other relevant machinery licences (preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques and systems
  • Ability to contribute to continuous improvement processes and identify areas for efficiency gains
