And just like that our LiDAR Demonstration Days are done. Over the last couple of weeks, the Sphere team held demonstration days across Australia, displaying the company's LiDAR payloads.
The latest LiDAR payload from DJI, the DJI Zenmuse L3 has arrived and it packs a punch. It features a powerful long-range sensor capable of reaching up to 950 metres, even on objects with just 10% reflectivity. With dual 100MP RGB mapping cameras and a high-precision POS system, it delivers fast, reliable geospatial data capture.
We started the demonstrations off in Perth on August 24th where we saw one of our largest turnouts to date. Our team started off with a demonstration of the YellowScan Mapper+ mounted to the DJI Matrice 300 with a follow-up look at our custom solution that allows for the automation of LiDAR data capture and processing.
Back in the office, the YellowScan team showcased the post-processing flow, what is capable, and the simplicity of using YellowScan LiDAR scanners.

Next on the list was Melbourne and Sydney, where we demonstrated YellowScan's Mapper+ and new Voyager LiDAR payload, with a guest appearance from one of the locals. Voyager can be flown at up to 440m metres with a precision of 0.5cm and accuracy of 1cm.
In Sydney we took the Mapper+ and Voyager scanners out for a spin around the Waverley Elevated Reservoir.
Ending our demonstration days in Brisbane on September 5th saw another great turn out and the perfect day to get LiDAR scanners flying.
Thanks again to those who attended - our teams had a wonderful time showing off YellowScan's LiDAR scanners to you in person and being able to chat with you about your own use cases.
If you couldn't make the demonstration days or would like to know more about the solutions on offer, get in touch with our team to schedule a call or demonstration of your own.
