Matrice 400 has a protection rating of IP55, allowing it to operate reliably in challenging conditions including heavy dust or rain. It also maintains stable performance across temperatures from -20° to 50° C.
Equipped with rotating LiDAR, mmWave radar, and low-light fisheye sensors, the M400 spots hazards others miss, including thin power lines, in rugged terrain or poor light. It even sees through rain and fog to stay aware of its surroundings.
The Matrice 400’s O4 Enterprise system delivers clear, low-latency video up to 40km away, ideal for BVLOS, infrastructure, and inspection missions. With 10 onboard antennas, a high-gain controller, sub-2GHz support, and dual cellular dongles, it stays connected even in dense or remote areas.
One Matrice 400 can act as a relay drone, flying high to pass signal to another operating further out. Perfect for extending your range across valleys, hills, or remote corridors, without relying on fixed ground comms. Ideal for SAR, complex terrain mapping, and multi-kilometre patrols.
The Matrice 400’s sensor suite, rotating LiDAR, mmWave radar, and four full-colour low-light fisheye cameras, gives it unmatched spatial awareness. It detects small obstacles like high-voltage lines or tree branches, even in rain, fog, or darkness.
With this advanced sensing, the drone can confidently fly close to buildings, bridge edges, turbines, or cliff faces. It maintains stability even when GPS signal is weak or return points haven’t updated, essential for detailed inspection work.
Paired with the Zenmuse H30 Series, the Matrice 400 can detect people, vehicles, and vessels using both visible and thermal imaging. It also supports high-res grid photography and powerful subject tracking. Payloads can be swapped to match the job, expanding how and where the drone can operate.
Smart AR Projection overlays flight-relevant data, like powerline routes, terrain maps, waypoints, and points of interest, onto the live feed. This gives operators instant visual context, speeding up navigation and post-processing.
Real-Time Terrain Follow keeps the drone at a stable height over uneven ground during both manual and automated flights. It’s especially useful in search and rescue, maintaining subject size on-screen, or for consistent GSD during terrain-aware mapping missions.
The Matrice 400 supports safe takeoff and landing from both stationary and moving vessels. It uses onboard visual recognition to lock onto deck patterns, ensuring precision landings during offshore patrols, marine surveys, and turbine inspections.
Intelligent flight modes help automate complex moves. Cruise Control enables smooth long-distance flight; FlyTo offers tap-to-fly navigation; Smart Track improves object tracking; and POI locks the drone into a perfect orbit around your subject, all designed to make high-quality results easier to capture.
With the Zenmuse L2, the Matrice 400 can fly automated routes along power transmission and distribution lines. Its LiDAR actively detects and avoids crosswires and other obstacles, reducing the need for manual control.
Plan slope or façade routes in DJI Pilot 2 or FlightHub 2 to capture data on angled terrain or built structures. Ideal for inspecting walls, cliffs, building exteriors, or anything that’s not flat ground.
FlightHub 2 enables full cloud-based flight and payload control, take off, land, and fly routes remotely. Plan advanced missions, sync live streams from multiple drones, and manage everything from a central interface.
Terra handles 2D and 3D reconstruction using both visual and point cloud data. It’s ideal for mapping, inspection, and emergency response workflows.
Use Modify to clean up and enhance mesh or point cloud models after capture. When combined with Terra it delivers a full end-to-end workflow from aerial capture to polished, shareable assets.
Outfit the Matrice 400 with a full suite of official DJI accessories, batteries, charging stations, cases, dongles, and mounts, all designed for seamless integration and reliable field use.
